About Lud Kopec


    A lifelong resident of the Masontown area, Lud started his professional career as a social studies teacher at German Township High School in the Albert Gallatin Area School District. He also coached basketball and was active in the Albert Gallatin Education Association, serving two terms as president.
    He started his insurance career in 1985 selling auto insurance, homeowners insurance, life insurance, and retirement annuities throughout Fayette, Greene, and Washington counties. For the next 17 years, he built a business with many loyal clients by giving them competitive rates and personal, professional service.
    When the opportunity to represent the Erie Insurance Company presented itself in January, 2002, Lud opened the Kopec Insurance Agency. Erie's reputation for high levels of customer satisfaction and extremely competitive rates made them the kind of company he wanted for his own agency.
    Lud is looking forward to providing his clients with those low Erie rates, and promises to provide the same personal, friendly service for which he has become known. It's the only way he knows how to do business.
    Lud and his wife Terrie have been married for 28 years. She is a teacher in the Albert Gallatin Area School District. They have two children, Brian and Cristy.
